The Spotted Poppy is owned by Ashton Chase, an Austin local and lover of unusual flowers.
Her favorite flowers are Queen Anne's Lace, Snake Allium, Sweet Peas, Anthurium, and of course, Poppies!
Ashton started The Spotted Poppy as a Sole Proprietor in 2020. As she was testing out names for the business, she couldn’t help but reflect on the elegance of the poppy, from its name to its form. Upon studying different kinds of poppies, she came across the Ladybird Poppy, which was spotted on each petal. She not only loved the name “The Spotted Poppy”, but felt that the “Ladybird” variety was appropriate for a city who has named its lake and wildflower center after Lady Bird Johnson.
The Spotted Poppy is committed to delivering constantly unique, colorful, and modern designs. Ashton believes that, rather than having a customer choose from a batch of pre-designed arrangements online, every customer deserves their own one-of-a-kind design.
The Spotted Poppy is based in Austin, but will travel for your wedding!
